Project overview
Blugency is a service SaaS platform helping entrepreneurs start and manage US businesses through an integrated dashboard combining business formation services (LLC, C Corporation, S Corporation, Nonprofit), legal compliance management, IRS tax filing, and digital marketing services. The platform operates on a dual-interface model: a client-facing application where entrepreneurs manage their business operations, and an admin platform where the Blugency team delivers services, tracks orders, and manages customer relationships.
We partnered with Blugency to design both the client web application and admin platform. The project required creating seamless experiences for two distinct user groups with different needs – entrepreneurs seeking simplified business management and Blugency staff requiring efficient service delivery tools – while ensuring both interfaces worked cohesively as parts of a unified system.
The dual platform serves international entrepreneurs establishing US businesses alongside the Blugency team managing service fulfillment, requiring careful consideration of information flow, status synchronization, and handoffs between client requests and admin execution.

Dual platform complexity
Designing two separate but interconnected platforms required maintaining consistency in design language and data representation while accommodating fundamentally different workflows. Client and admin users need different information density, action capabilities, and interface priorities despite working with the same underlying business data.
Service delivery workflow coordination
The platforms needed to orchestrate complex service delivery processes where clients initiate requests, Blugency staff execute services, external partners provide deliverables, and status updates flow back to clients. This multi-party workflow required clear handoff points and status visibility across both platforms.
Varied user technical sophistication
Client users include international entrepreneurs with varying technical literacy and business knowledge, while admin users are Blugency staff trained on the platform. The designs needed to accommodate this disparity – making the client platform intuitive for novices while giving admin users powerful tools for efficient service delivery.

Unified design system across platforms
We created a cohesive design system that maintains visual consistency between client and admin platforms while allowing each interface to serve its specific audience. Shared components (buttons, forms, status indicators, cards) create familiarity, while layout density and feature sets differ appropriately.
Client dashboard: simplified business overview
The client platform features a clean dashboard showing active services, pending actions, completed milestones, and upcoming requirements. The interface prioritizes clarity and guidance, helping entrepreneurs understand their business status and what steps they need to take next.
Admin dashboard: operational command center
The admin platform provides a comprehensive operations view showing all client orders, service queues, team assignments, deadlines, and performance metrics. The interface prioritizes efficiency and information density, allowing staff to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
