Project overview

Adrema is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system designed to centralize business operations across multiple departments and functions. The platform integrates marketing campaign management, multi-channel messaging (WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, Email), sales operations, comprehensive bookkeeping with invoicing, reporting analytics, and master data management. The system serves businesses seeking to consolidate operational tools into a unified platform that provides visibility across all business functions.

We partnered with Adrema to design the UI/UX for their ERP platform. The project required creating intuitive interfaces for complex business processes, organizing extensive functionality across multiple modules without overwhelming users, designing workflows that accommodate different user roles and permissions, and establishing a visual system that works across diverse operational contexts from financial management to marketing execution.

The platform serves business users ranging from marketing teams creating campaigns to accountants managing invoices to executives viewing performance reports, requiring role-appropriate interfaces that balance depth of functionality with usability.

Challenges

Multi-module complexity management

Adrema encompasses seven major modules (Application, Business, Marketing, Messaging, Sales, Bookkeeping, Reports) plus Master Data management. The interface needed to organize this extensive functionality in a way that allows users to navigate efficiently between modules while understanding how different business functions connect.

Workflow diversity across modules

Each module serves fundamentally different purposes with distinct workflows: marketing campaigns require creative tools and scheduling, bookkeeping demands precise financial data entry, messaging needs real-time communication interfaces, sales requires pipeline management. The design needed to accommodate these varied workflows within a cohesive system.

Data density and clarity balance

ERP systems handle large volumes of business data requiring tables, forms, filters, and detailed views. The interface needed to present this information density clearly without creating visual overwhelm, particularly in areas like order management and financial reporting where data accuracy is critical.

Solution

Clear module-based navigation

The left sidebar organizes the system into primary modules (Application, Business, Marketing, Messaging, Sales, Bookkeeping, Reports, Master Data) with icon and text labels. This consistent navigation structure allows users to understand system organization and access relevant sections quickly regardless of their current location.

Contextual breadcrumb navigation

Each screen includes breadcrumb navigation showing the user's location within the module hierarchy (e.g., Marketing > Mail Campaigns > New Campaign). This wayfinding system helps users understand their position in complex workflows and navigate back to previous levels efficiently.

Unified design system with orange accent

We established a clean design language using orange as the primary accent color for interactive elements, status indicators, and call-to-action buttons. This consistent color system creates visual hierarchy, draws attention to important actions, and maintains brand identity across all modules.

Project Results

Design role-based module access where marketing staff see Marketing and Messaging modules, accountants access Bookkeeping and Reports, and administrators control Master Data. Use consistent navigation structure across all modules so learned patterns transfer, but customize module-specific workflows for each role's tasks. For example, marketing users need visual campaign builders while accountants need precise numerical tables. Implement permission-based feature visibility so users only see functions relevant to their role, reducing interface clutter and confusion.
